[/span]    Shasta is a very slim, lean-figured wolf with a short tail and long, spindly legs. The base of her coat is a very dark brown that just edges on being black, but she has very light tan streaks all throughout her pelt. There are a few thicker stripes around the base of her tail, the back sides of her forelegs, spine, and chest, making her a dapple by technicality. Her coat is rough and short, not anything overly attractive, and her face is a solid brown color. Very tall, Shasta normally has a whole head over most wolves she meets. Nothing about her is pretty, really. Nothing eye-catching, nothing out of the ordinary.

Except for her eyes.

Shasta has bright golden eyes that are always burning like twin suns, full of determination and emotion- perhaps the most noticeable thing about this rather plain female.[/ul][/font]

[/span]    The first personality label you'd give Shasta is cold. She isn't necessarily evil, but completely obsessed with doing what's beneficial for her or her pack. Overly obsessed. If someone of higher rank told her to, she'd sell her own mother for a raising without batting an eye and brag about it afterward. Outside of situations like these, she's normally very calm, and very quiet. Too quiet. She's very unsociable, and due to not ever talking to anyone, she hasn't gained much of a reputation.

However, don't be fooled. Dig deeper, look, really look into her eyes and you'll notice that she has something many of those around her don't- a heart. Well, a small one. She's never shown her softer side to any wolf. As far as everyone else is concerned, she doesn't have one, because she's allowed no one to get close enough to her to see it. Her heart, however, is not for family, or friends, or even a possible loved one in the future- it's for pups. Pups, adorable little helpless pups; who could resist them? Shasta would sell her littermates into lifelong slavery for a pup she'd never met any day. Otherwise, she is in truth steely, calculating, and extremely, overly distrustful. Loyal over anything, but eerily cold.[/ul][/font]

[/i] Shasta was never anything special. Born to Cain (NPC) and Viola (NPC) of the Pack of Shadows, she grew up with little time to play and a lot of time to work. Her father never really paid much attention to her or her four littermates, and her mother didn't really act much like she cared. So they were brought up mainly under the care of the Voiceless, given the same instruction quality as any litter of pups their age. Shasta and two of her brothers were right away pushed to do better at fighting than hunting, and later, she would learn that this was because of their lithe but strong build that showed promise for becoming Merciless. At the ripe young age of 2 melts, she was named a full member of this battle-hardened group.
    
    Wolfhood: For the next full melt and two moons, Shasta gained experience and information, watching each wolf she met silently, analyzing, storing data away for later. This is where you'll find her in the present; a tall, soundless shadow in the background, not often paid an excessive amount of attention to. She never lets any wolf know what's on her mind.
