The Council:

The council is made up of two alphas and two omegas. The alphas tend to be a bigger, but not by much. They are military strategists and extremely good fighters. The omegas are smaller. They are still rather unemotional, but they're very good at handling interpack problems. They deal with all of those things and tend to have temperaments that are much calmer then the alphas. They help to advise or calm down the alphas often.

Never are the alphas or the omegas a pair, but is is common for the council to have two alpha/omega pairings as it is believed that such pairings uphold the balance.

Betas:

There are, at any given time, three to six betas. Betas are picked by the council. They are expected to be a bit bigger and stronger then the rest of the pack, and to be cold and unemotional in their personalities. They keep the peace and stay with the council as guards. They also administer the shame bites. Due to their working in close quarters with the council, they are not allowed to preform assassinations.

Soundless

The Soundless are the trackers of the pack. They pride themselves on going unseen, and most importantly - silent. When a learner is ready to become a full member, s/he may become either a member of the Soundless, the Merciless, or the Motionless. The options for the last part of the name will be: Step, Howl, Run, Silence, and Shadow.

Motionless

The ineptly named Motionless and the hunters of the pack. They mask their scents, pelts, etc. and lie in wait, often having the Voiceless chase the unsuspecting deer towards them. Then they strike. When a learner is ready to become a full member, s/he may become either a member of the Soundless, the Merciless, or the Motionless. The options for the last part of the name will be: Bite, Snarl, Break, Tooth, and Shadow.

Merciless

These are the fighters. Though still lithe, they are stronger and more agile then the Motionless or Soundless. They are extremely good fighters and tend to do well under pressure. When a learner is ready to become a full member, s/he may become either a member of the Soundless, the Merciless, or the Motionless. The options for the last part of the name will be: Growl, Snarl, Claw, Fang, and Shadow.

Voiceless

The voiceless are the wolves bearing shame scars. They have committed some crime against the code and therefore are treated more like servants then anything else. These wolves are given odd jobs by their superiors almost constantly. They often take turns caring for/teaching pups and learners.

Learners

One pups are deemed strong enough, they become learners. Learners are trained by the whole pack. Some days they will hunt with the Motionless, other days practice with the Merciless or track with the Soundless. When they are not doing any of these things, they learn basic skills from the Voiceless.

Pups

Pups are not named at birth. They are not individualized or cared for other then by an assortment of Voiceless until they are made learners, when they choose the first part of their name. Because of that, there will be no list, etc. for pups. If you make a pup, the name will be 'pending' until they choose.
